An Overview of Chemical Feed Pumps for MA Water Operators (1.5 TCHs)

This course provides an overview of the various types of chemical feed pumps which are a critical component of water treatment systems. It provides an overview of common metering pumps and how they work and discusses important information on selecting, operating and common troubleshooting tips. The training will also review MassDEP’s regulatory requirements for system controls and alarms. 

This course is approved for 1.5 Training Contact Hours for both MA Water and Wastewater Operators

Instructors

Daniel Laprade

Dan Laprade has a BS in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has been working in the drinking water field for over 35 years.  He has been an instructor for 20 years and is a Massachusetts Registered Professional Engineer.  He holds both a Massachusetts Grade 2 Water Treatment and Grade 3 Water Distribution license.

Danny Smith

Starting as a draftsman at an industrial wastewater treatment company, Danny Smith grew into roles as an installer, field technician, instrumentation expert, and then into sales. Dannyhas spent the last thirty-five years in the fluid handling field, primarily in municipal water. Recruited from his position as Vice President of Sales at a firm in the Northeast, Danny joined Ti-SALES as their Director of Strategic Markets in September 2021.
